Age Group Awards 

All athletes receive PBs & points for their performance in each event (*with the exception of excluded events) throughout the season.

The athletes season best performance for each event is used.  The point scoring is based on the athlete’s performance in relation to the event/age group Centre Record.   That result scores points (pro-rated) up to 100, or more if the CR is broken. The points for each events "season best" are then totalled. 

For instance if an athlete participates in Shot-Put then their longest legal throw for the season will be awarded points. Assuming the CR for the age group is 2 metres, then a throw of: 

- 1 metre will score 50 points

- 2 metres scores 100 points, etc

Points are calculated by ResultsHQ automatically once results are verified and loaded.

Eligible events are all SMDLAC competitions and Region Track & Field.  *Excludes State Track & Field and Club Championships. 

AWARD for ALL AGE Groups U6-U17

1. Personal Best (PB) Award Winner - Highest number of PB’s in each age group. 

AWARDS for AGE Groups U8+ (only)

2. Overall Points Award - Highest overall points winner accumulated in each age group 

3. Track Points Award - Highest points in track events, in each age group (Overall Points Award winner is excluded)

4. Field Points Award - Highest points in field events, in each age group (Overall Points Award & Track Points Award winners are excluded)

CENTRE SPECIAL AWARDS

Srini Mandava Outstanding Athlete Perpetual Trophy

Established in season 2017/2018 this honour is to remember the immense efforts put in by Srini Mandava over a sustained period of time during the establishment of our club.

Criteria:

Awarded to a Senior Athlete (U/12 and above) The best performer at LAVIC championship level in the summer season. Decided at the discretion of the Committee at the

conclusion of the season.
